PART I
For almost a decade in the U.S., all be it I enjoy what I do, I have been singing and playing piano to people who tell me they don't have long to go, I listen after the concerts to private confessionals from people; who've been left behind by their loved ones, who just lost their spouse four days ago, who served in Vietnam and other wars, Jew and non-Jew alike, all sorts of stories - all because at the piano I took them away from the company of their misery BH’.
If you want to see live footage of them coming up after the shows please go to the bottom of this page.
It’s meaningful, though may not be massive. I have been doing this from Florida to Connecticut, and through it, including the exercising of my own pieces, have developed and refined two unique shows.
MISSION
Both unplanned, but it seems I look after abandoned people of all ages in my work, and my aim is to help stop the behavior of those who do the abandoning; by playing the protagonist in my Operetta: Paper Gun
The whole thing is I need to sell my original show into small theater type spaces, so agents are something for my salesman to look at approaching - but not to the exclusion of all the other booking targets (see sales onboarding) and us doing it ourselves as it may likely in todays world more effective as well as satisfying.
I also see I achieve marked success in function and facility for both me and my audience.
If having “what it takes” is there, the question lies wholly in G-d’s timing, if doing something that counts is to be a motivation, along with it's multiple aspects of investment and trajectory over time to achieve said function and facility.
Although to me the real question is not the balance of income as the determining factor; with my shows now the way I want them, I am more actively involved in making a stalwart effort to satisfy that part of the equation, without artistic compromise. So that the art for arts sake - which is simultaneously giving for giving a sake, can be facilitated.
Prior to the USA I was another decade as resident entertainer in London West end and Swiss ski hotels.
This is what I have dedicated my life to, and has come forward in a massive way towards a more viable business.
Three years ago I saw the biggest two hurdles were in logistics; accommodation and all the driving, and if I had to choose between a camper van and a self-driving car, I’d choose the latter. Then I could work as I do all the drives, and not be so strung out. Eli stepped in.
Now the SelfDriving truck camper exists, which covers both.

PART II
The salesman part of the business plan.
This is as much an R&D exercise as one that earns as it goes, more about where best gigs thn where I am.
MAIN POINT: Many venue types are suited to my act. For a time the road is the road as we try out for the best fit both for the act and for what it can earn.
Traditional booking agents either no longer exist or take 20 % commissions while offering minimal attention; their swollen rosters push high quality, niche acts like mine into one size fits all “opportunities.”
The solution is a dedicated Sales Manager who can:
1. Position the act at its true value. An artist cannot credibly “hard sell” themselves.
A third party advocate can present the work—backed by live videos and testimonials —as a cultural experience rather than commodity entertainment. It has been in my mind a long long time and this is me trying to do something about it: when people want to book me I think it's so nice of them - and I want to make them happy - and I want to do the gig - and I accept any price. I need someone to treat me in away I can't treat myself - as a third party commodity.
2. Systematically test and rank venue types (see full salesman onboarding). From premium cultural arts centers and fund raising house concerts to upscale country clubs (already have interest), the manager will A/B test pricing, audience fit—something agents rarely do, and manage repeat booking.
3. Handle logistics and all follow up's so I can focus on the show. While I cover long haul driving between hubs (e.g., Charleston, FL), schedule routing etc.
Why It Works
• The act has been offered $3 000 for a performance; comparable venues exist along the proposed tour routes.
• Warm leads from previous gigs, and templated outreach emails are prepared, ready for a salesperson to execute.
• Every operational element—lead tracker, email and call sequences, venue test maps, logistics checklist—is enclosed in this plan – see golden arrow links below, reducing onboarding time and risk.
By replacing the outdated agent model with a data driven sales function, to unlock higher fees, consistent bookings, and scalable growth for a singular, quality product.
FUNDING intro
VOX 1 Dreams dreams dreams
I did a quintessential performance of one of the pieces from Paper Gun tonight in a place – and I think it’s totally going to sell me in to any place potentially that I’m going to be performing at – I’m very excited about the way it’s taking shape – we’re hopefully going to end up with a Broadway show – dreams dreams dreams, but there are steps along the way that are realistic, that are represented – and there are customers already etc
VOX Fund intro I
It’s part altruistic a project*, it’s got that space in it. And I’m going to share with you what the next step I’m doing to be able to fill the gap (prior funding lost) that has been left; now we cant finish the building of the camper, we can’t get the truck. There is a lot going on to see if we can help nudge the next stage along of a valuable project. Theirs a salesman going to be working and an onboarding – a ton – it’s a massive project. And you can see that it’s got legs, and it’s got what it’s got.
So I’m putting together a team for the remainder, I would like to know if I can come and see you - I have pulled the elements together for the presentation, if you’ll give me half an hour. It’s certainly special, and I think you’ll actually find it quite poignant and powerful.
That’s my question
All the best
Zai gebenched
Thank you
*Bridges a gap
It grew into something more altruistic, much influenced by Eli Gestetner, incorporating between songs the odd piece of general wisdom (not necessarily Jewish).
To see how it bridges a gap, some video reference points are identified on the Rabbi Sacks page designed for use by the salesman in approaching: Hillel, API, Universities in general, Schools (Jewish and non), synagogues or Jewish organizations.
With the original Operetta content, and predominantly Jewish songwriters in "The song is the play" with the added "Backstage with the tribe" stories of their immigrant parents, I hope my project culminates in a contribution both to, and from, the Jewish people.

MY REALITIES
I always prioritize bookings above anything.
I always prioritize multiple forms of development when I don’t have bookings.
That's why the Salesman direction is the very cleverest first step up for me in particular, among many other reasons.
THE GOAL
I need as much of my energy and focus as possible on the shows, the salesman briefed and the truck operational is what BezH' will keep me on the road.
With thanks to Hashem, welcome to my show...
My proposal is aligned for introduction to:
funding needs, a new salesman, a self driving camper van (explained below), and new customer awareness to understand what I offer.
Everything is ready from salesman onboarding to email templates, relevant promotion materials and links, including to a personalized customer format options page.
Please review the sections you most want to look at, some perhaps superfluous comments are marked with a ☕️ 🫙(explained below)

WHY A CYBERTRUCK!!!

A SELF DRIVING TRUCK & CAMPER
To be set up for performance and travel, with the ability to perform and travel anywhere at short notice without additional cost for accommodation - I can be anywhere at short notice, totally flexible with location.
It is the only FSD camper vehicle combination possible in the world
Two years ago I had the choice of an FSD car or a camper-van, and FSD was the choice.
But now it can exist both in one. I've done so much traveling you can imagine how fantastic it would be to know I haver the same bed every night.
I have been covering the whole East coast (and in as far as Nashville) in the self driving car - this allows me to work as I drive - it's remarkable - distances are meaningless, traffic is meaningless - being tired is meaningless. But I have been organizing to stay at friends, and air BnB's, and sometimes sleeping in the car. It's not the expense it's the distraction logistics and upheaval. This way I am always at home, as well as always in the office.
But the reason for the self driving isn’t because of all the work I get done on all the journeys, and how well I use the time, it’s because otherwise you just can’t do it, all the driving 10 or 12hr stints and in the rain or traffic - it all gets nullified; to be within the reach of all the best paying things, that is the salesman facility along with this other half of the business plan.
You have to be able to be far reaching, with self driving it turns America into a village, and all car time is office time.
It’s remarkable.
This is the next step to maintain focus on performance work.
Now at the drop of a hat without hotel costs and no in/out bother I can be anywhere, all it takes is the booking and the journey time which I use to work.
The truck is also a great advert canvas.

AND WITH A WELL ONBOARDED SALESMAN
The product content presents confidently, and so a third party can better represent.
The product deserves a strong closer. I'm not looking for a completely ruthless person, just someone simply more naturally disposed to discuss the product in the third person, better for negotiating and closing.
I generate many leads and start conversation on the road BH'
— but final negotiation and sales follow-up are better served by someone else.

THE GRAND SCHEME OF THINGS
OVERVIEW
I've got a framework of what must be done.
The goal has been to get obstacles out of the way of a competent salesperson—who I have done and will continue to do everything for.
Below is the initial overview schedule aiming at how we are to kick the process off, BezH':
-
July: 3 weeks – “The Three Weeks”: final business plan organizing and a bit of playing.
-
Aug/Sept: 7 weeks – Salesman onboarding and starting to book me starting in Nov 19 – till April: FL / CH / G.
-
Oct: 5 weeks – Chagim + bits of business + bits of music + bits of sorting.
-
Nov 19 - April: 6 months – Salesman/marketing person switch out as required.
After the Chagim it’s November.
Then it’s Colorado in the truck to get the camper fitted.
Then it’s down south for the FL SC GA season, PG’, full of gigs.
Then taking what we learned, it’s onto the next target area, plz G-d.
THE NITTY GRITTY
EXPANSION ON THE OVERVIEW
ASAP re 6th Aug for 6 weeks
-
GET STAFFED UP: start interviewing 6th Aug
-
AFTER ONBOARDING A FEW WEEKS IN: after trying out a few cold calls, he can start with Broken Sound with a bigger price.
Tell them to see new videos and both shows.
Once, BezH’, got them, then can tell others we are performing there.
Possibly carefully ask her for people to contact in other country clubs.
Fill up down south as of Nov 19th
= a week to get there from Colorado and have a Shabbas, and ready to gig.
Concentrate on that time period and that area—once full, BezH’, we will choose another area.
The priority is booking me from the 19th of Nov on between Charleston and Miami for the season
6th Aug
AFTER THE THREE WEEKS

-
Very latest, beginning of October = TRUCK BUYING – no later than between 18th & 30th Oct.
6th Nov

Last day of work at the farm is Thursday, Nov 6. Depending on first salesman booking round, and if Dovid still not back at his job, seek cover for this first foray. Although dealing with daily business and gigs, and all this, and the nigh shift job - it's 24/6 - I need a break out plan, BezH' this is it.

BOTTOM LINE
SALES PERSON
Sales, and its management, and its scaling BezH’ is a full-time job—I have too much on my plate—it’s as simple as that.
Look at the RIDER page and play the EQUIPMENT TOUR video for an idea of just one element.
TRUCK / CAMPER
I need to be able to deliver.
Regardless, it’s a good thing to have.
I’ll always have a roof over my head.
And if I have to after a good while: I can always sell it.
But it’s a great business and personal tool.
SCHEDULING
Mainly my job—but we will see if he can pick this up.
I have to always look at the locations I’m in and how close or far I am from each place—but with the truck and the camper it’s perfectly doable—this is the logistic aspect that frees up many possibilities and focuss. E.g., setting the region for booking work:
Charleston–Miami all travelable within a day for me.
Meaning day after day can be somewhere.
This is exercise 1.
Further afield than that we will discuss for after the FL/Southern season.
Aiming for the country clubs, community arts centers, 55+’s, church annex halls—he has to feel it all out.
THE FUTURE
Hopefully, I will be too busy and also I can return to a normal Jewish schedule: Pesach, RH, YKP, Sukkos—PG’.
BUT re the farm I'm v lucky to have it and Rav T offers me first BH'
I can always get it covered—many people want it.
But I may target the salesman heavily on Washing to NY, as well as part of the FL season
As with my camper van, and always have a roof over my head for the farm between days also
I will literally always have a roof over my head.
And can get cover for the trips that take me further afield.
The killer is the sleep but I can manage it for now
RESULTS AND TIMING
BezH’ I can always get someone to cover a week or two while I’m away getting the camper installed / or more (if Dovid who I'm covering for is not back yet - (July 15th, he came out of rehab to convulses at home.)
OTHER
I can now tell Fox Music etc when I’m in Charleston + book Harmony (only) of the wee gigs.

A note from Eli/Alan
Hello
I'm Eli Gestetner, of Kahal Mekor Chaim,
7 Valencia Dr in Monsey
friend, chavrusa, council and sponsor to Paul
Pauls work is rare, and much needed - see the many responses in the two types of live testimonials below to see some of the impact of his work.
He is reaching forwards into new markets, the bulk of his customers till recently have been 55+ & senior living facilities, where the meager pay they budget for is not enough. No way existed to bypass all program directors to the bosses or owners who determine these low wages, in return for what is uniquely appreciated in Pauls service. There are no people out there doing what he is doing, hence he gets the “maximum” wherever he goes with his loyal supporters in seniors facilities up and down the East coast, but that is still very low for what is a hi quality product, in; tasking, maintenance, preparation, and set up time; these and behind the scenes responsibilities. It just doesn't pay what it should for the sake of what he does.
“Since Covid all the other entertainers don’t want to come back and they all now ask for $500 and we cant afford it, Paul has always performed his 2hr show with set up and strip down for $340, this is the most we ever paid any entertainer which usually ranges from $150 to $200 max, but he works hard doing a great job. Paul has been playing at our assisted living community for two years now and comes almost monthly to entertain, and entertain he does! He is interactive, exciting and even takes requests. He has been known to learn a song or two for our residents. He puts a fun spin on any song and clearly loves what he's doing. I highly suggest him!”
Courtney Corrosi
Activities director
Brightview Senior living, Maryland
(410 567 0094)
Harmony in Savannah pays $195, which is $95 more than they pay any other entertainer.
And this is their review:
"Such a great performance! Baby Tosh was energetic, inclusive, and so entertaining! Residents loved the interaction and the over all joy brought to the community. We can't wait to have him back!"
Elinor Lincoln
Activities director
I have guided Paul in many aspects of his work and personal life. You can see people explaining what joy they experienced from Paul’s work. But the most profound responses have clearly been to his original work in the Operetta
I would like to see enough support for this to be allotted more time, along with his long time successful general concert for seniors and 55+ communities. Aiming ultimately for greater platforms to be tested out through the hire of a sales/closer.
I wish to allow for re-investment as well as a more stable income for Paul, and to keep one full-time staff for new higher level sales, as he continues to perform over great distances.
His costs far outweigh the income generated at this time, although it is plain to see the demand and need is hi.
Paul has taken music as a therapy to a new level, every performance contributes to calmness, to a degree of peace, to the participants overall wellbeing. He has honed a repertoire and performance approaches, and proved himself with a variety of audiences (all ages), and developed a quality equipment system to provide a high standard. The results are palpable. Paul performs from Boca to Connecticut; doing all booking preparations, promotion, invoicing, production, gear maintenance, videography etc.
I believe in the spread of Pauls work for it's own sake, to the extent that for the last three years in various ways I have offered support, including up until recently paying the finance on the full self driving Tesla (that he sometimes sleeps in), after seeing him travel great distances in all weathers in a beat up Honda. We were heading to changing that for a truck with a camper. The kind of distances Paul covers would be impossible without this as well as relief from the constant in and out of friends houses, air BnB's, or hotels.
We are looking to pull together fund raising partners for the final stages for the propagation of Pauls work of spreading of love and peace.
Please join in a special opportunity to share in something meaningful.
Some contributions can go through a registered charity.

COFFEE JARS explained
THE MORE ESOTERIC CONSIDERATIONS
While learning with my chavrusa Eli we stumbled upon a metaphor for things to talk about that were not in learning - because everything outside of learning pales in comparison - but yet we want to get it off our chest. So generally we deal with "the coffee jars" prior to starting so nothing gets in the way.
Here, ☕️ 🫙=
Things that go beyond perhaps the normal scope of necessary information to take stock of the proposal, but are included for anyone who wants to know more.
☕️ 🫙1
• To maintain selling the act in it's best setting
HOPEFULLY QUICKLY A FUTURE STEP will be to add a video editing and web assistant, that I can onboard to my systems.
To balance out working "on" the business, and working "in" the business, BezH' performing certain venue types will present the product in a better frame, and it wold be important to have those shows on film.
But it creates a huge gap in time between performance bookings to have to produce the materials.
I have great systems, and in how I create time stamps from a show that brought what you see enclosed - I take recorded voice notes to identify pieces I want to pull from a performance, I also multi track audio record through the piano mikes, looping pedal, vocal etc all of which need lined up in sync with the visuals. I could train someone on the process, to where I only have to send the files and time stamps.
Ready to pool clips for; the web site, and social platforms through LOOMLY and hopefully with a bit more social media know how than I have.

☕️ 🫙2
I spend $500 a year for a service to save me the time with all the fiddly details to facilitate a daily releases on various platforms - but thats all I know
SEE AT: SOCIAL MEDIA LOOMLY
Perhaps an amount allocated to experimentation / know how - it took me ridiculous time it took to assign a clip a day, every day till the middle of next year through LOOMLY to four platforms simultaneously - but that's just the dissemination. If I could somehow advertise the platforms as having this "new clip a day" it would I'm sure help the new focused sales.
Perhaps a company who understands my targets, goals and demographics to suggest or manage the best steps to take.
☕️ 🫙
MORE COFFEE JARS
☕️ 🫙
I am looking for my salesman/woman and look like having it covered by an agency (they come recommended) for someone I can train up. But if you happen to think of someone that may be a good fit for what Im looking for please let me know.
☕️ 🫙
SOMEONE THERE in and ADHD world
• Perhaps theirs something about the attention deficit generation we live in, with distraction to pseudo connection through technology - that makes theatre such an important place where people can feel that there is someone there.
I'm streamlining the process so that all that I can be doing is the scheduling and performing. I’m doing too many jobs* - in the end it's nothing more complicated than that.
Please read the streamlined SALESMAN ONBOARDING to gain a perspective.
which gives all the tools to stay focused, which I can’t, I get spread too thin - he can stay focused on the ones that pay the best or are opportunities.

AN OPERETTA ONLY WEB SITE
• I'm aware that the web address papergun.net points just now to my main web site and should point to a site exclusively for the Operetta - we will get there BezH'
☕️ 🫙
WHY
I have been for a while performing pieces from the Operetta and noticing the marked difference in reactions, and also I am currently placing the Operetta as a single performance piece to some places I do regular gigs in - its well oiled / tested live - goes down well - has a broad acceptance - it's a bit sharp, but has appeal and I want to give it a good thrashing as it were - this is what it's all about.
PART OF SALESMANS PITCH
We want to tour it "out of town as part of a Broadway trial" / around the country fielding to varied targets, to raise money for an off Broadway run and promotion of.
☕️ 🫙
TYPE OF ACT
• This is not the "festival" type act - it's for small theatre type spaces, it's for people who want to come to a quiet place, it's not a rock loud act. All the pieces are enclosed for you to see what I mean by "intimate type" they are throughout the web site. Perhaps start with some of this months featured videos on the front page of the site.

PAPER GUN
- THE ALBUM
And at some point, when you normally have a cup of tea (or coffee in the USA), please take time to hear a current live version of the operetta collection - as just released on iTunes etc.
It is the driving force for me personally, served by the entire exercise.
Much as you can also see these performances in video playlists, the experience of just hearing I think is less distracting.
At some point the promoting of this audio album collection (as is), would be a great boost to efforts in all the next moves as defined in the business plan.“
My process to simply get it out there are the performance scenarios in various bookings that are part of my business, it is a growing enterprise regardless.

FUNDING SOUGHT
Dear Potential Investor,
Please consider the value of the work I do as a partial offset for the fact of a presentation that may not follow the usual format you are accustomed to. As an artist, it has made a Stalwart effort to distill things down to core business points with as much clarity and coherence as possible.
I thank you in advance for the extra effort to engage with what I’ve prepared. I welcome any questions and am happy to clarify or expand on any part of this.
Give me the right sales tool* and we will discover all the right targets for it, and the means for a sane delivery, and I can give a great show of something that is lacking and meaningful in this world.
Warm regards,
Paul

NUMBERS
Id like to suggest if we could make a split between a return on investment and the support for the arts concept:
X k 10% paid from gross booking revenue yearly
with an 8% profit (and heter iska)
X k support for the arts
FUNDS CAN GO THROUGH A REGISTERED CHARITY RUN BY ELI waiting to confirm
These numbers (to the right) are if I don't make a penny, as things get going these numbers will come down BezH', so can they be for a maximum for 6 month watershed to see where we got to, to also allow for time to identify and book (some places in FL book a year or two in advance).
WHERE I AM
/ WHERE I CAN GO
After I get the market data, spending $5,000 over two months I will identify higher paying gigs and where to focus my sales effort.
I believe I can raise my rate, it is $340 - $740 just now to at least $1400 - $3000, because of the position that everything has all come to. Their are times when I have 5 in a week, times with two, and times with none depending on my "in work / out work": with a schedule of bringing the project forwards in it's presentation, content, approach and logistics.
PROJECTIONS
To answer the question of the projected increase in revenue, after a few month of having the salesman, with him onboarded and having split his time between the immediate task of following up on leads for the Southern season Nov - March, with also casting a wide sales research net USA wide on the target testing list: see the detail in the salesman onboarding focusing on stages and time allocation

I am looking to further a grass roots build. To see the salesman onboarding is crucial.
I have provided and will continue to provide all the support needed.
His job is to find the right person in the list of different target types.
The rest will BezH' be easier, the hard part is to identify the person and get them on the phone to convince them to see the videos to introduce one or both of the shows. Invariably when someone sees the videos I am booked.
Also the principles behind the operetta are well tested as having broad appeal.
THIS INFO IS AS VALUABLE AS BOOKINGS AT THIS POINT:
PRICE RANGE INCREASE
